Vaccinations

We require the following vaccines in order to be able to book a appointment with us:

RABIES, DISTEMPER, BORDETELLA

All three vaccines are required by NYC law & department of health. If your dog is not up to date with vaccines we will not be able to take them in.

You must send us the vaccination certificate ALONG with the Rabies certificate.

We ask that you text or email us vaccines before being able to book an appointment. We will NOT book any appointments without having received ALL paperwork first.

If you do not have a copy of the rabies certificate, you can contact your vet and they will provide you with one.

Cancellation/ Rescheduling

We are a small business and missed appointments are a loss of income. Any cancellations or rescheduling MUST be made with 48 hour notice. Anything less than 48 hours notice, you will be charged 50% of the service to card on file. Taxes and fees will be applied.

EX: Your appointment is scheduled for 5/4 at 3pm. You have until 5/2 no later than 3pm to reschedule or cancel without being charged.

If you book an appointment for the next day, you are automatically confirming you will be showing up to your appointment. Therefore if you choose to cancel you will be charged a cancellation fee.

EX: You call 5/3 to book an appointment for next day 5/4 at 2pm. If you call same day (5/3) or next day (5/4) to cancel, you will be charged cancellation fee.

No shows

If you book an appointment & do not show up nor call, it will be considered a NO-SHOW & will be charged the full amount of grooming service to the card on file. No show us and you will banned from booking with us in the future.

Deposits

Deposits are 50% of the groom. If and when we ask for a deposit it will be charged to your card on file. Deposits go towards the groom, not including taxes & fees.

Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Pick up

Gimme Paw LLC strives to be a kennel-free environment and therefore we do not crate dogs after grooming services are completed. We are not a daycare. With that being said, pets must be picked up on time. We also usually give you a heads up and call you 20- 30 minutes before your dog is ready. But if you need more time, let us know at drop-off.

Ex: We call you at 2pm saying your dog will be ready in 30 minutes. You have until 2:30 pm to Pickup.

Anything past that pickup window Gimme Paw LLC reserves the right to charge a late pickup of $15-30.

Late appointment

Note that after 10 minutes past your appointment time, you will be charged a $10 late fee and an additional $1 per minute until 15 minutes past your appointment. After 15 minutes your appointment will be cancelled.

Please respect our time. If you know you will be late to your appointment, have the courtesy to let us know.

Aggressive dogs

For the safety of our employees and groomers we do not accept any aggressive dogs. Our groomers hands are their livelihood and how they make their income. If they get bit and severely injured, they are out of work for some time. If for whatever reason your dog does bites one of our groomers, we reserve the right to ban your pet from grooming with us again.

Fleas/ Ticks

We are a flea and tick free salon and strive to stay as such. With that being said, we do not take in dogs with fleas/ticks. However we understand you may not notice and if we find fleas/ticks during a grooming session, for the safety of all our pets we are obligated to use flea/tick shampoo at an additional fee. Although if there is an infestation, we will ask you to pick up your dog and come back another time when they are flea/tick free.

Matted dogs

Matting can occur because the dog is not brushed and combed regularly. For dogs with long coats, they must be brushed everyday in order to prevent matting. Some matting can be brushed out depending on how tight the knots are and will be an added fee to reflect the time it took to brush out. Severe matting close to the skin will have to be shaved down. If matting is TOO severe to where we are not able to groom your dog, We would recommend going to a vet as hematomas can form. A shave down will constitute an additional fee.
